DOL Resources to help workers and employers prepare for COVID-19

The U.S. Department of Labor has resources to help workers and employers prepare for the COVID-19 virus (also known as novel coronavirus). Including:
OSHA Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19 – Developed in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to help employers respond in the event of coronavirus in the workplace.

REDI Cooperators NACO and NARC have put together resources for counties and regional organizations as follows:

NACo has developed at resource page on the Coronavirus with particular focus on the county role and impact. It can be found here: https://www.naco.org/resources/featured/coronavirus-disease-2019              

For those county folks interested, they encourage them to see the Survey option on this link to provide NACo the landscape and needs of your community and how they can assist through policy/administration, shared strategies, research, etc. NACO recognizes the massive toll this is taking now and will take on local and regional governments and want to assist in any we can. 

Additionally, NARC has also put together a comprehensive resource page for regional organizations as well:

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) 
published its first round of implementation guidance pursuant to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). The guidance addresses critical questions such as:

- How does an employer count its number of employees to determine coverage?
- How can small businesses obtain an exemption?
- How does an employer count hours for part-time employees?
- How does an employer calculate wages employees are entitled to under the FFCRA?
